My 2 year old had a difficult time lacing the strings provided through the holes because the tips of the laces are not long enough - the plastic coating needs to be longer. We have added a plastic knitting needle on the end for her and she is able to use it better this way. Otherwise a good product.

These are beautiful to look at and nice and chunky, but the holes are a little rough on some of them. The string gets caught going through the holes.I think it is getting better with time and use.The ones with double holes through the same letter are challenging but that's not necessarily a bad thing.The box was a little broken on arrival but not enough to compromise its integrity.
